The Bathroom Series is a group of objects inspired by our grandmother’s boudoirs. Composed by a metal and marble comb, a face massage roller, and a cute mirror for blemishes, this series evokes a journey to the past. The delicate finishes and the cooling materials utilized in these pieces, convey a revival of old-school femininity in a provocative way. These fine and subtle objects invite to experience a new type of intimacy in today’s hectic world.
Designed by Natalia Criado as a continuation of her Wonder Crystals project, this series of blown-glass wares was created by a Tuscan family enterprise established in the 1800s. Composed by colorful vases of different shapes and sizes, these pieces can be used as salt and pepper containers, oil and vinegar bottles, or as flower and fruit vases. The green, blue, and amber colors of the glass, together with the play of geometric shapes that built the pieces, evoke an encounter between 19thcentury artisanal practices and modern design.
Joyas en Casa
Joyas en casa’ which means “Gems at home” is a table ware and bowls collection that bring strong 'sculptural' feelings to everyday objects; with natural stone accents, this designs reflect a jewel quality to them that exceptionally blends with an industrial personality.
Dipping into geometry and ornamental symbolism, the effect is fun and its simplicity appeals to a modern take with evoking hints of craftsmanship and the past. All together, whether forks, spoons, knifes or cups, the pieces are fed by reminiscences of Criados past work in developing her jewelry lines, therefore providing an eclectic mixture that ranges from “bauhausian” to decoratively infused pieces that seem to collide in an aesthetic that speaks perfectly the contemporarylanguage.
